Make-up Favourites

This post is all about my up-to-date favourite cosmetics that I apply most of the days. I'm the type of person who'll stick within my comfort zone, but if you have any good products that you love, please share with me too!

1. Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream - #1 Aqua Beige
2. Elianto Ultra-Define Eyebrow Pencil - #2 Light Brown, #4 Charcoal Grey
3. Maybelline Magnum Volum Express
4. Etude House Oh m'Eye Line - #1 Black
5. 3CE Lip Pigment - Mellow Pink
6. 3CE Highlighter - Gold Pink
7. PeriPera Peri's Tint Water - #2 Pink Juice
8. 3CE Lip Lacquar - Super Coral
Applying BB Cream
I've been using my BB Cream for more than a year now and no kidding, there's still half bottle of it. Imagine how affordable it is for product that can be used for this long. And no it has yet to exceed the expiry date.

This Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream, SPF 20++ 40ml, comes in 2 shades. #1 Aqua Beige and #2 Aqua Neutral. Mine is #1 Aqua Beige and I love how it matches my skin tone very well.

It is housed in a frosted bottle with a spatula cap, and every bottles come with a free sponge. I simply apply it directly onto different areas of my face every time and blend them with the sponge (I change the sponge from time to time). I like the texture of this BB cream because I find them really light and has a pretty pleasant coverage. The only thing is that it's not very travel friendly. But I still bring it when I go travelling cause it is that great!

I have been changing different eyebrow pencils. I remember I tried Kate, Nature Republic, Cyber Colours and so on. I remember I stick with Nature Republic Panda Zero Water Proof Eyebrow #2 Brown for very long until they decided to stop manufacturing it which I have no idea why. I liked it a lot that time and have trouble finding the next suitable eyebrow pencil for quite awhile.

So now I found this Elianto Ultra-Define Eyebrow Pencil which is really affordable and good! Only RM16.90! (Was RM13) It has great pigmentation and I find the outcome really smooth and natural.

They come in 4 different shades, dark brown, light brown, twilight black and charcoal grey. I used to apply the #2 Light Brown but now I've switched to #4 Charcoal Grey as I have just dyed my hair black! I know right haha! For Malaysians, you can order via their official Malaysia e-store as well www.elianto.biz

Eyelashes - Curler, Mascara
I will curl my eyelashes every time before applying mascara. However I don't remember what's the brand of my eyelash curler but I think I got it from SASA.

I've been using Maybelline mascara since very long ago. I have to say that their mascaras are great yet inexpensive. This is why I never bother to switch to alternatives.

I'm gonna say I'm one loyal consumer for the products that I love. Same goes to this, I've been using Etude House Oh m'Eye Line since very long ago. Since it was still RM19.90 to now RM25.90. Still cheap though but why can anyhow increase price one -.- But I always get them when there's Buy 1 Get 1 promotion at the store haha!

And I'm really impressed by how pleasing it is despite the price. It comes in a very fine tip which is perfect for a fine and neat lining. I'm using the black ones, the colour is vivid, it doesn't smudge and dries off very quickly.

Price increases apart, I'm not sure if it's just me but I kind of find the amount of the liquid inside is getting lesser than before.

I have to say I'm born with quite a fair skin tone, so I like it better to apply some blusher so that I don't look too pale after my BB Cream. Also, I like how the light pinkish cheek looks. I think it's very sweet and natural for every girls.

3CE Lip Pigment in Mellow Pink is what I'm currently loving and using as a blusher. It's actually meant for both lips and cheek but I only use it as a blusher and something else for my lips. They have a variety of colours to choose from and somemore you can even mix and create your own favourite tones. I'm using solely the Mellow Pink because it is exactly the pink tone that I love!

Contouring and highlighting definitely give our face a greater definition. I don't often highlight my features on very casual dates, but rather on more important dates or whenever I feel like it.

I'm using 3CE Highlighter in Gold Pink. It's double tiered, comes with a mirror in it and contains a small brush in the bottom compartment, which is very travel friendly. Also, the thing I like about this highlighter is that it actually contains small shimmer particles, or metallic sheen to be exact, which is neither too dense or shimmery and give your face a very natural radiant glow.

I normally skip the brush and just sweep it across the T section of my face with my fingers. I love the gold pink tone. I think it is very natural and does a great job in brightening up my face.

The final thing I put on for my usual make is normally the PeriPera Peri's Tint Water - #2 Pink Juice. I was actually not a lipstick and lip gloss person because I don't like how they feel like on my lips. Until I found this Peri's Tine Water, I put on them where ever I go. It gives my lips the most natural feelings apart from the lasting vivid colour it provides.

My second option is the 3CE Lip Lacquar in Super Coral. I love everything from 3CE! I can like surf on their web store for the entire evening. And they've got a lot of new arrivals that have already got into my waiting list damn it.

I really love this lip lacquer and it completely changed my perception towards lip products, either. It dries off to the perfect soft matte finish on my lips. However this matte finish product is usually a bit dry, so it is better to apply some lip balm beforehand. Otherwise you could also add on lip gloss after this lip lacquer but since I'm not the lip gloss person, I'll just stick to a thin layer of lip balm before and stay with the matte finish that the lip lacquer gives.

So above is what I apply for my usual make. For more formal functions or when necessary, I'll put on heavier make-ups with eye shadows and sometime even falsies.

Well these are my favourites so far. I figured I like pinkish tone more. Look at all the blusher and lip colours I'm currently using. I do have lipsticks in coral/orange but to be frank, I never use them before. Maybe I'll give them a try.

Hop you enjoy this post! Cheers!

Trip to Taiwan

I wanted to title this post as Taiwan 2014 but it would sound really throwback. So i get to visit Taiwan last December with my family. It's one of my 2014's resolutions which is to visit new places.

I would say that Taiwan is a really nice country with very friendly people and great hospitality. It was a family trip with my KL and KK relatives and we visited some outskirts such as Jiufen, Shifen, Danshui and a lot more which i cant really remember.

Fyi this a visual heavy post

We stayed at Homey Hostel in Taipei. I think it's slightly pricey and we could actually get a hotel room for the total charges for 4 person. Though the environment is really nice and it's located very near to Taipei main station and also NingXia night market.

You can choose from double decker bed to double bed room for 2. Yeah it was charged per bed/head. RM60 per pax via online booking and RM100 via walk-in booking. And you will be allocated with other room-mates, which basically the theory of hostel. So we have a group of 9 people in the largest room that can fit 10, so there is 1 anonymous staying in the similar room with us during that trip.

And if you like making new friends from other countries, this is the hostel for you. Since there are like a lot of koreans, hongkong people, malaysians, singaporeans, caucasian staying in it. It's really budget if you are a solo traveller.

and they provide free toast in the kitchen every morning!

very sweet and thoughtful travel guides in multiple languages

Postcards and feedback from all over the world. This is what we call 人情味 in chinese

December is winter for Taipei. Average temperature was 17 Celsius degree that time. Really cool to hangout all day (in the right clothes). You just don't sweat and get oily!

i don't remember which part of Taiwan is this. All kind of local snacks sold at the Volkswagen buses

 Hello Kitty Sweets, Taipei

sent my little sis and cousin to dine at this hello kitty cafe in Taipei. Theres this requirement of minimum spending of 300 taiwan dollar only then you can dine in the cafe. wah so pa pai LOL. not a kitty fan nor the food interests me. so i just took some pics and go dine at the restaurant next door with the rest.

i can buy 1 or even 2 tops for 300 dollars in wufenpu

there are plenty of local food brands which are really good. didn't manage to try most of them.

very good beef noodles at somewhere near Homey

basically what i ate the most in Taiwan, braised pork rice! so nice and so inexpensive! cheapest one i had was 20 taiwan dollar and most expensive one was only 35 taiwan dollar!

btw all the photos do not go in sequence. i don't remember where i go first and what i ate first.

i told you i went really outskirts. i even get to ride this very old-school train from one small town to another small town.

We also released sky lantern in Shifen. I believe that i have to write my wishes in chinese cause it's a chinese ritual after all. Later 'they' don't get what i wished for. And pardon me it's been too long since i last written any chinese words. I thought my 心想事成 is very pretty no?

And there are too many pets around... everywhere! Be it city or outskirts. I wanted to capture them all but well, too many.

And of course, i went to wufenpu and also several night markets. Sourced some stuffs for myself and J'store. Also captured some of the boutiques with very nice interior and deco as reference. I really really like pretty deco like this. Boosted up my mood.

The only time i take photo while shopping is when i need to whatsapp people and show them the stuffs or when i really like that thing or have dilemma buying it.

I really like this Dr.Marten boots in brown. Love the ombre tone. but i didnt get it cause 1. i run out of money and 2. i don't want my mum to buy it for me. and 3. its pricey.. which is normal for Dr.Marten. This one costs around 5990 taiwan dollars if im not mistaken. After the exchange rate it would be around RM600+.

But i got myself a pair of Birkenstock. The one with 2 straps. It's 1590 taiwan dollar. Around RM40 cheaper compared buying in Malaysia.

Pretty Christmas trees everywhere. This is the Elmo theme one in the centre of Taipei central

this is the boots i wear for this entire trip. except during the final day when it dies on me lol.

so i guess thats all about it. didn't manage to take a pic on all the stuffs i got in taiwan. i actually finished all my money and change extra taiwan money from mom. so imagine going there during summer. too much stuffs to buy. from skin care to food to clothings. i also went to the 3-storey Watson in Ximending 西门町. too many places to name. and also missed out some of the places that i wanted to visit. will definitely go back Taiwan again :)

thanks for reading. cheers!

p/s: J'store is launching a brand new collection next week. Remember tune in for more! xx

2015 Resolutions

Lets look back my 2014 resolutions before setting up my 2015 ones. But before going through i already know that ive been doing very badly in 2014. Sighpie

5/5 zz. Yeah i get my first tatt and no i did not do better in J'store. In fact i dont really focus on it. And no i didnt attend classes promptly but luckily results are still pleasing. And no i dance so much lesser these days.

But i think im getting better in becoming a more sociable person. Just that it still depends on the person i talk to.

Next i would say work smart instead of work hard actually. For the part time jobs i've accepted. In 2014 most of them are easy jobs with shorter working period and high pay. Compared to back then when i get the same/lesser pay while working for one whole day. For eg the mitsubishi i worked in december. 2 days for rm500! First time ever seriously! and some ushering and promoting jobs that require only 4hrs or less at an average payment of rm100. Really need keep up with that before i graduate:)

And i visited Taiwan. A really nice place. Would definitely go back again. And too bad bangkok is left out. I really need to go this year!

No i quit going to the gym and i don't think im gonna regret it lol! Im happy about waking up early. and the pretty abs everytime after morning workouts. But damn after one happy meal and its all gone.

And no im so ashamed i didnt even get to do my avocado juice its been a year! My god time do fly! Btw taiwan avocado juice is uhh.. Not nice.

And i think i did take more photos? And more active on Insta. No? Btw i just did eyebrow embroidery last Saturday. Looks a lil like sinchan now. Just that mine's thinner.

And im always thankful for everyone around me. And every experiences that ive been through. Be it good or bad, they are all good lessons right.

So here are the new year's resolutions that i drafted out last night. I stick to 10 of it.

1. Do well in my final semester and graduate. No plan after that. It all depends on how my internship goes.
2. Hopefully to have my internship in KL because i really want to try out something that im interested in which apparently, and sadly is not available here in Kuching. It's either to work in CLEO company, Vivi company or Nuffnang. But the thing is im not sure if allowance will be given and i have to deal with all the accommodations and expenses there. Oh well we'll see how *fingers crossed*
3. Do well in J'store. Do what I've planned in 2014
4. Get my first ever designer's handbag/wallet
5. Change a new phone lol! My phone is dying. But it's a challenge to attain both resolution 4 and 5.
6. Get better in trading. Be active and trade more often. Set a minimum monthly withdrawal. By the way I've just started doing forex trading. still learning right now. so far so good. I think it's an interesting industry.
7. Visit new place/places! BKK is a must wth!
8. Spend money even more wisely. Save up for everything
9. Always stay in touch with everyone that matters. Spend more time with loved ones
10. Healthier lifestyle. Wakeup earlier everyday instead of waking up when half of the day is gone.
So that's about it. Hopefully I can achieve all of them or at least like 7 of them? So no confident in myself one lol. Actually I want to write about "blog more often" and "keep on dancing" but I'm really afraid that I'm gonna fail it like how I did for the past few years. Gonna have to deal with this also. Laziness, procrastination and confidence. Have a great year ahead people. xx!
